Snehotsavam
The Kannur Peace and Harmony Foundation, in collaboration with Snehathiram Suraksha Project and CYDA, organized Sneholsavam on February 22 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Library Auditorium in Kannur. Members of the LGBTIQA+ community and students from various colleges participated in the event. The attractions of Sneholsavam included a cultural conference, awareness programs, a medical camp, and cultural programs by members of the LGBTIQA+ community. The event, inaugurated by Kannur Corporation Mayor Mr. Muslih Madathil, was presided over by Mrs. Shameema T, Chairperson of the Kannur Corporation Welfare Standing Committee. Community members who achieved various milestones were also honored at this event.

Entrepreneurial Development Training Program for LGBTIAQ+ Community
The Peace and Harmony Foundation, Kannur, in collaboration with the Center for Youth Development Activities (CYDA), Pune, conducted a two-day Entrepreneurial Development Training Program for the transgender community. The program took place at the Assisi Institute for Peace Studies (AIPS) Center in Thottada, Kannur, on the 27th and 28th of January 2024. This initiative aimed to equip transgender individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to explore entrepreneurial ventures and achieve financial independence. Kannur Corporation Division Councillor Mr. Sajesh, renowned anthropologist Dr. J J Pallath, The District Social Justice Officer Mr. Biju P, State Transgender Board Member Mr. Sajid P M, Coordinator of the Saksharatha Mission Mr. Shaju John spoke on the program.


FLOWER SHOW VISIT FOR MARATI NOMADIC CHILDREN
The Peace and Harmony Foundation organized a visit to a flower show for a group of children from the Rajasthani Marwari community. These children, who are known for their sculpting skills, are part of a nomadic tribe that visits Kannur annually. The flower show organizers extended a special invitation to this group, and the visit was overseen by Mr. UK B Nambyar. Local leaders like Fr. Sunny Thottappilly (Chairman), peace and Harmony Foundation), Bindu Balakrishnan(Blood Doners’ Kerala President), and Ranjith K Narayanan played key roles in organizing and leading the group.

"MISSION 300 MEDICAL CAMP"
A free health camp called "Mission 300" was held in Samajavadhi Nagar in collaboration with Ancharakandi medical college. Doctors and nurses from Kannur Ancharakandy Medical College provided medical check-ups to many people. The camp was inaugurated by Kannur Corporation Councilor P. Krishnakumar. P. Satheesh Kumar, Chairman of People's Movement for Peace, presided over the function. Fr. Sunny Thottapilly, Director of Peace and Harmony Foundation, delivered the benedictory address. TRANSGENDER INCLUSION 13 NOVEMBER 2024
VARNARAJI
A seminar and workshop on the status and future of the transgender and LGBTQA community in India, especially Kerala, was held in Kannur. Organized by CYDA Pune, Peace and Harmony Foundation Kannur, TG Justice Board, and Social Justice Department. Kannur District Collector Arun K Vijayan inaugurated the seminar held at the Shri Purum English Medium School auditorium. The event featured discussions, workshops by experts, an open forum for personal stories, and cultural performances by transgender individuals. It aimed to assess challenges, foster inclusivity, and develop plans for the community's betterment. An open forum was held where transgender individuals shared their personal experiences and challenges. The event concluded with cultural performances by transgender individuals.

Outing with Children from the Street
On February 5, 2024, the Peace and Harmony Foundation organized a special one-day outing for children from the street, providing them with a day of joy, exploration, and learning. This meaningful initiative was led by the Foundation’s Chairman, Fr. Sunny Thottapilly, in collaboration with Biundu Balakrishnan, President of Blood Donors Kerala, and Ranjit K. Narayanan. The event aimed to offer these children an opportunity to experience new environments, engage with nature, and enjoy a well-planned recreational day.
